Derzeit ist unsere Gesellschaft, gerade in Deutschland und vielen Teilen von Europa noch geprägt von der statischen Kommunikation durch Emails. Diese erlauben eigentlich nichts weiteres, als einen statischen Blog privat hin- und herzuschicken.
Einige machen schon die ersten Echtzeit Kommunikationsversuche mit Instant Messaging Clients wie google talk, Skype, Live Messenger und anderen. Eine Stufe weiter finden wir hier schon die Ansätze von Kollaboration. Kollaboration kommt aus dem lateinischen co = mit und labore = arbeiten. Moderne Portale wie Facebook, Sharpoint und andere ermöglichen schon das gemeinsame Arbeiten auf virtuellen Plattformen. Das gemeinsame Abreiten in Echtzeit ermöglichen bisher nur wenige. Da auch die Akzeptanz in unserer Gesellschaft derzeit noch fehlt. Vorreiter ist hier Facebook, wobei hier zu bemerken ist, dass der Zulauf und die Anzahl der User in den letzten Jahren von einer Studentenplattform zu ein Weltweites Kommunikationstool rasant von statten ging.
Facebook ermöglicht jedoch auch nur die Kommunikation mit den vorgegebenen Mitteln. Bilder, Videos und Texte. Was google mit der wave ermöglicht die die Crossmediale Verknüpfung verschiedener Medientypen. Durch die Öffnung der API für die Allgemeinheit haben hier auch schon die ersten Verschmelzungen stattgefunden.
Durch die crossmediale Konvergenz werden ungeahnte Kräfte frei!
In anderen Worten wie bereits 1970 von Mc Luhan erkannt: “Durch Kreuzung und Hybridisierung von Medien werden gewaltige Kräfte und Energien frei, ähnlich wie bei der Kernspaltung oder der Kernfusion”. Die Menschheit steht vor einem neuen Bahnbrechenden Ereignis. Und wir müssen den richtigen Zeitpunkt abwarten. Eine solche Umsetzung ist natürlich auch mit viel technischem Knowhow und somit auch Problemlösungen beschäftigt. Diese werden in sicherlich in absehbarer Zeit gelöst werden.
Die google wave ist noch im Preview Stadium für Entwickler und IT Affine Personen gedacht, um ein Feedback für die Zukunft zu gewinnen.
Google buzz hingegen wurde schon released und kann somit die Gesellschaft schon wieder ein Stück mehr auch eine Echtzeit Kommunikation und Kollaboration vorbereiten. Ein unter Umständen strategisch wichtiger Zug von google. Anders als bei vielen anderen Blog und Kommunikationssystemen ist hier eine umfassende Integration in verschiedene Systeme möglich, so kann über feedburner der Buzz Feed in twitter eingespeist werden oder auch Veröffentlichungen von anderen Messeging Clients aggregiert werden.
Die Akzeptanz durch die Integration in das bereits beliebte und umfassend genutzte gmail Portal ist wieder ein interessanter Zug. Auch wenn viele sich Fragen:
„Was soll ich mit noch so einem Ding“ – Das wird die Zukunft werden! Es ist der Anfang in der Echtzeit Kollaboration in der Cloud der Online Systeme und Applikationen. Bisher war eine Kommunikation in Gruppen (Kollaboration) auch nur Umständlich über google docs oder ein wirres hin und her Geschicke von e-Mails mit den verschiedensten Informationsständen möglich. Das sollte mit dem richtigen Einsatz von buzz schon besser werden! Was hier noch fehlt, ist die Verschmelzung der verschiedenen Medientypen. Dies ist die Vorbereitung auf die nächste Generation der Zusammenarbeit und buzz hilft der wave mit der Vorbereitung auf diese!
Auch google weiß, dass das nicht alle anderen auf einen Schlag Ablösen wird, doch wir haben es ja bei den Suchmaschinen schon gesehen was passieren kann :-)
Da viele nur einen Teil des ganzen betrachten und nicht zu wissen scheinen, dass an dem Produkt wave mehr hängt als nur das GUI Interface was wir hier sehen, sondern auch ein Protokoll, dass die Verarbeitung von Informationen und den Transport in Echtzeit an viele Teilnehmer ermöglicht, ohne hier ein enormes Datenaufkommen zu verursachen, der sollte sich näher mit der API und Dokumentation auseinandersetzen.
Es lohnt sich!

google buzz meets google wave
Currently our society is still dominated by the static communication through e-mails, especially many parts of Europe. This only allows nothing further, but sending e-mails as in a static private blog stationed at one person by a time.
Some make the first attempts in Real-Time communication with Instant messaging clients like google talk, Skype, Live Messenger and others. The next step we have here the beginnings of collaboration. Collaboration comes from the Latin co = with and labore = work -> work together. Modern portals such as Facebook, Sharpoint and others allow the joint work on virtual platforms. The collaboration in realtime, is only supported by a few. Since the acceptance in our society is still missing. Facebook is a pioneer here, and here is to be noted that the in recent years the platform grow rapidly from one student application to a global communication tool.
Facebook, however, allows only communication with the given resources: Pictures, videos and texts. What google with the wave allows is the cross-media linking various types of media. By opening up the API for the public the first mergers already took place.
Through the unprecedented cross-media convergence forces are free!
In other words, as early as 1970 recognized by McLuhan: "Through breeding and hybridization of the media are powerful forces and energies freely, similar to nuclear fission or fusion." Mankind faces a new groundbreaking event. And we have to wait for the right time. Such an implementation is of course with plenty of technical know-how and thus also problems. Witch surely will be solved by time.
The google wave is still in preview stage for developers and IT professionals intended to gain feedback for the future.
Google buzz, however, was already released and therefore the company and society can once again prepare a bit more for real-time communication and collaboration. This is an important strategic move from google. Unlike many other blogging and communication is a comprehensive integration into different systems possible, a buzz feed can be deployed into twitter thru the feedburner or to aggregate feeds from other publications or messaging clients.
The acceptance by the integration into the already popular and widely used gmail portal is once again interesting. Many ask themselves:
"What should I do with even such a thing" - This will be the future! It is the beginning of Real-Time collaboration in the Cloud of online systems and applications. So far a communication was in groups (Collaboration) was only solved by workarounds such as google docs or a tangled up and down fortunes of e-mails with various versions of information. That should be better with the proper use of buzz! What's missing is the fusion of different media types. This is the preparation for the next generation of collaboration and helps the buzz wave to the preparation of this!
Even google knows that this is not going to be solved at one, but we have seen what can happen within years of search engines Development :-)
